Day 1: Quito - Refuge Cotopaxi
We'll leave Quito in the morning by car and after one and a half hours we'll get to the Cotopaxi National Park. We'll hike one more hour until we'll reach the Jose Rivas refuge (4800 m). After doing some exercises in the glacier we'll have dinner and prepare the ascent. (BL - D)

Day 2: Refuge - Summit - Quito
We'll get up at midnight and after 7 hours we'll reach the summit. After the descent we'll rest a bit in the refuge and then we'll return to Quito. (B - BL)

Day 1: Quito - Chimborazo Refuge
We'll leave Quito in the morning, heading south for the Avenida de los volcanes until we'll reach the Hermanos Carrel refuge (4800 m). From there we'll walk another 45 minutes to the Whymper refuge (5000 m), where we'll relax, have supper and prepare the ascent. (BL - D)

Day 2: Hut - Chimborazo Summit 6.310m - Quito
We'll get up at midnight and after 8 hours we'll reach first the Veintimilla summit (6270 m) and afterwards the Whymper summit (6310 m). Around Midday we will be back in the refuge, where we'll relax a bit, before we'll return to Quito. (B - BL)

Day 1: Quito - Refuge Cayambe
We'll leave Quito in the morning and head north until we'll reach the village Cayambe, from where we'll go on to the Ruales-Oleas-Berge refuge (4600 m). The rest of the day we'll spend relaxing and preparing the equipment for the ascent. BL - D)

Day 2: Refuge - Cayambe Summit - Quito
Around midnight we'll get up and after 7 hours we'll reach the summit. Going down will take another 4 hours. In the evening we'll be back to Quito. (B - BL)

Day 1: Quito - Camp Antizana
We'll leave Quito in the morning, heading southeast. We'll put up our camp at the western flank at a height of 4300 m, have supper and prepare the equipment for the ascent. (BL - D)

Day 2: Camp - Antisana Summit - Quito
We'll start the climb at midnight and after 8 hours we'll reach the summit. Going down will take us 4 hours, so, after breaking up our camp we'll be back in Quito later in the afternoon. (B - BL)

Day 1: Quito - Refuge Illinizas
We'll leave Quito in the morning and drive approximately 2 hours to the foot of the Illinizas to a place called La Virgen. There we'll start a hike of 3 hours, until we'll get to the Nuevos Horizontes refuge (4650 m), where we'll have supper and spend the night. (BL - D)

Day 2: Refuge - Iliniza North Summit - Quito
We'll get up at the break of dawn and after a climb of 4 hours along the rocky ridge we'll reach the summit. On the way back we'll relax a bit in the refuge and then return to Quito. (B - BL)

Day 1: Quito - Illinizas Hut
We'll leave Quito in the morning and drive approximately 2 hours to the foot of the Illinizas (La Virgen). From there we'll hike 3 hours to the Nuevos Horizontes refuge (4650 m), where we'll have supper and spend the night. (BL - D)

We'll get up early in the morning and start the climb, which will take us 4 hours to reach the summit and 3 to get back to the refuge. Afterwards we'll walk another hour and a half down to La Virgen, where our car will pick us up. (B - BL)

Day 1: Quito - La Esperanza
We'll leave Quito in the morning and drive about 60 kilometers north, where we'll lodge in a picturesque hostel at the foot of the Imbabura. (BL - D)

Day 2: La Esperanza - Imbabura Summit - Quito
We'll start our hike at about 7 am and after a climb along the ridge of 5 hours we'll reach the summit. Going down will take us another 4 hours. Return to Quito. (B- BL)

Cotacachi 4.939m

Day 1: Quito - Camp Cotacachi
We'll leave Quito in the morning, driving 65 kilometers northeast to the Imbabura province. From the point where our car will leave us, it will take us 1 hour to reach our tent camp. There we'll have dinner and pass the night. (BL - D)

Day 2: Camp - Cotacachi Summit - Quito
At 6 o'clock we'll start the hike and after 4 hours we'll reach the summit. Going down will take us 3 hours. Later in the afternoon we'll be returning to Quito. (B - BL)
